Turrialba Volcano
The Turrialba Volcano, as with the neighbouring Irazú volcano, is one of Costa Rica’s largest. Almost 11,000 feet high at its summit, three separate craters actually comprise the volcano. Of these three, one is open for visitors to hike into and see the fumaroles and sulphur pits that reach 194 °F.
